HIV/AIDS as an issue in urban planning
One of the main tasks of urban planning is to make the city safe for all residents. City life should not exceed a certain amount of danger - disease-causing aspects should be minimized by means of urban planning.
In cities with HIV/AIDS prevalence rates by 20 percent, the fight against the spread of the immune deficiency syndrome becomes a task field of urban planning.
Starting point and basic idea of this planning is a systematic identification (mapping) of all relevant health care facilities in general and all major points for HIV/AIDS control in particular. Dangerous places and potential points in the urban fabric can be easily read and based on this analysis action can be taken.
The planning is embedded in the urban infrastructure planning (PEU, Plano da Estrutura Urbana), and thus gets the status of an important and ongoing component of everyday urban planning in the municipalities.
Since a large proportion of the population as well in the political committees can not read, graphical representations for the whole communication process are very important. Only like this, a participatory and transparent development of the planning process can be granted.

HIV/AIDS als Thema der Stadtplanung
Eine der Hauptaufgaben von Stadtplanung ist es, die Stadt für alle Bewohner sicher zu machen. Stadtleben sollte ein gewisses Mass an Gefährlichkeit nicht überschreiten - krank machende Aspekte sollten mit den Mitteln der Stadtplanung minimiert werden.
In Städten mit HIV/AIDS Prävalenzraten um 20 Prozent ist also der Kampf gegen die Verbreitung der Immunschwächekrankheit ein Aufgabenbereich der Stadtplanung.
Ausgangspunkt und Grundidee dieser Planung ist ein planmässiges Erfassen (Mapping) aller relevanten Gesundheitseinrichtungen im Allgemeinen und aller wichtigen Punkte zur HIV/AIDS Bekämpfung im Speziellen. So lassen sich Gefahren- und Potentialpunkte im Stadtgefüge leicht ablesen und auf dieser Analyse aufbauend Massnahmen ergreifen.
Die Planung wird eingebettet in die städtische Infrastrukturplanung (PEU, Plano da Estrutura Urbana), und bekommt damit den Status eines wichtigen und stetigen Bestandteils der alltäglichen Stadtplanung in den Munizipien.
Da ein grosser Teil der Bevölkerung auch in den politischen Gremien nicht lesen kann, sind grafische Darstellungen zur Kommunikation der Inhalte sehr wichtig. Nur so ist die partizipative und transparente Ausgestaltung des Planungsprozesses möglich.

HIV / AIDS como um campo de tarefa no planeamento urbano
Uma das tarefas principais do planeamento urbano é tornar a cidade segura para todos os residentes. Vida da cidade não deve ultrapassar uma certa quantidade de perigo - causadores de doenças devem ser minimizados por meios do planeamento urbano.
Em cidades com taxas de prevalência de HIV / SIDA de 20 por cento, a luta contra a propagação da síndrome de deficiência imunológica torna-se um campo de tarefa de planeamento urbano importante.
Ponto de partida e idéia básica deste planeamento é uma identificação sistemática (mapeamento) de todas as instalações na área da saúde em geral e todos os pontos principais para o HIV / SIDA em particular. Lugares perigosos e pontos potenciais no tecido urbano pode ser lido facilmente e com base desta análise ação pode ser tomada.
O planeamento está incorporado no planeamento da infra-estrutura urbana (PEU, Plano da Estrutura Urbana), e assim obtém o status de um componente importante e contínuo do planeamento urbano diário nos municípios.
Porque uma grande proporção da população, bem como nos comitês políticos não sabem ler, representações gráficas de todo o processo de comunicação são muito importantes. Só assim, um desenvolvimento participativo e transparente do processo de planeamento pode ser concedida.
